“I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in 2019. I will be pursuing my graduate degree at Stephen F. Austin State University in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching for 6 years and I have 8 years of experience coaching junior high, highschool, and competitive cheerleading. I am very excited to serve as the KJHS cheer and drill team coach this year. I hope to establish a school culture that is full of spirit and excitement. I want our school and teams to be something everyone involved is proud to be a part of.”

2024-2025 Junior High Cheer Team Roster: 

Kinley Thompson (8th Grade Leader), Rylea Watson (7th Grade Leader), Cali Carter (Spirit Leader), Maci Dowd, Zoei Dowd, Lexie Roberson, Emmalyn Farrar, Korbyn Whiteley, Ali Parker, and Abbie Haynie

 

This summer the junior high cheer team attended NCA Cheer Camp bringing home several group and individual awards.

Awards:

  • Top Team Band Chant
  • Top Team Cheer
  • Kinley Thompson was named an “All American Cheerleader”
  • Kinley Thompson received the “Pin it Forward” award
  • Maci Dowd received the “Pin it Forward” award
